Dog Training Commands Your New Dog Should Learn

Dog training is absolutely necessary especially if you got yourself an untrained puppy as a new dog for your family. Unwanted dog behaviors can be easily taken care of with proper dog training, hence you will have a better dog. There are many dog behaviors that may turn out to be major inconveniences such as chewing household stuff as well as running after cars and jumping into the couch. There are a significant number of options available for you to think about if you want your puppy to undergo dog training. It is possible for you to train your dog by yourself but this can get extremely challenging and it is better to explore your other options as well such as hiring a professional to do the dog training or sending your puppy off to training academies.

No matter what type of dog training columbia you will choose your dog to have, the type of things your dog will have to learn remains the same.  Here are the things that your puppy should learn from the earliest stage of dog training.

1.  Come - the most important command that any dog should learn at the start of dog training. This command is usually called along with the name of the dog. This command can easily be practiced because it can easily be used in everyday activities such as walking.

2.  Down - is another command that your dog has to learn and this teaches your dog to lower itself to the ground and this does not make your dog sit.

3.  Sit - is a command that you can't do without if you're into dog training because it is one of the best ways in getting to control your dog. When training a dog, it is important to give verbal rewards and treats if your dog can successfully follow the command.

4.  No - is a good command that teaches your dog about your disagreement such as when your dog chews furniture or bites. When your dog tries to snatch a treat from your hand or if any misbehavior occurs, it is the best time to practice this command.

5.  Stay - is a good command that is quite similar with the previously mentioned commands such as 'sit' and 'down', but this can function differently even to the point of keeping your dog out of harm's way.

6.  Off - is the command that you can use to get your dog off the couch or other things they're not supposed to be on.
